Prediction for CME (2021-08-23T06:36:00-CME-001)CME Observed Time: 2021-08-23T06:36ZiSWAS Layout URL: https://kauai.ccmc.gsfc.nasa.gov/DONKI/view/CME/17559/-1 CME Note: The CME is a partial halo in SOHO LASCO C2/C3 and is in the NW of STA COR2A. The source is a filament eruption north of disk center seen at 02:00Z in SDO AIA 171/193/304. The L1 arrival signature seen by DSCOVR is characterized by a simultaneous jump in SW density, magnetic field and speed (from 360 to 420 km/s), as well as rotation of magnetic field components. CME Shock Arrival Time: 2021-08-27T00:25Z Observed Geomagnetic Storm Parameters due to CME: ---- Predicted Arrival Time: 2021-08-27T08:00Z Prediction Method: Other (SIDC) Prediction Method Note: :Issued: 2021 Aug 25 2112 UTC :Product: documentation at http://www.sidc.be/products/presto #--------------------------------------------------------------------# # FAST WARNING 'PRESTO' MESSAGE from the SIDC (RWC-Belgium) # #--------------------------------------------------------------------# The CME associated with eruption of a large filament (stretching from about 30 degrees North to 30 degrees South) was first observed in the SOHO/LASCO C2 field of view at 06:36 UT on August 24. The CME had velocity of about 450 km/s and the angular width of about 100 degrees. Glancing blow associated with that CME is possible (on August 28), but not very probable. #--------------------------------------------------------------------# # Solar Influences Data analysis Center - RWC Belgium # # Royal Observatory of Belgium # # # # Website http://www.sidc.be. # # E-mail sidc-support@oma.be # # To unsubscribe http://www.sidc.be/registration/unsub.php # # # # Legal notices: # # - Intellectual Property Rights: # # http://www.astro.oma.be/common/internet/en/data-policy-en.pdf # # - Liability Disclaimer: # # http://www.astro.oma.be/common/internet/en/disclaimer-en.pdf # # - Use and processing of your personal information: # # http://www.astro.oma.be/common/internet/en/privacy-policy-en.pdf # #--------------------------------------------------------------------#Lead Time: 27.22 hour(s) Difference: -7.58 hour(s) Prediction submitted by Robert Loper (M2M Office) on 2021-08-25T21:12Z |
